University of Texas at Dallas/Callier Center, Dallas, TX

Head of Public Information Office
Responsible for all duties that involve promoting the public awareness of the Callier Center.

• Photo Gallery Project: In five working days; scheduled 20 individuals on Monday for Tuesday and Wednesday appointments with a downtown Dallas photographer, selected and ordered prints, ordered glass frames with mats and had the photos installed on the wall on Friday. (Last minute project)
• Grant Proposal Participation: Shot and produced the video footage of a child with a cochlear implant that was pivotal for the proposal presentation. Based on the presentation the Center received a check for $625,760. Later that year, donations exceeded approximately one million dollars for that individual program.
• Newsletters, brochures and other printed materials: Designed, supplied photography, drafted first text and oversaw printing process for the Center’s newsletter, invitations and all other publications used for public awareness, continuing education, receptions and individual program brochures and flyers. Responsible for contacting, coordinating and supervising outsourced materials such as the annual report and other marketing projects.
• Photography: Responsible for shooting photos of clients, professors, buildings, labs, and representational photos of different programs that were used in various brochures, publications and the website. Contacted and supervised the outsourcing of other photography projects.
• Public Representation: United Way Liaison, Callier Center representative at corporate/public health awareness events, presentations and client informational support.
• Media: Coordinated PR activities with television and radio stations through press releases and personal contact. Quickly organized last minute interviews.
• Video Production: Responsible for all video footage used for public awareness, fund raising, and many video clips for faculty and staff use in power point presentations. Wrote first draft of scripts, shot and edited video footage.
• Website Development: Developed the present website for the Callier Center. Developed several personal websites for faculty and other programs at Callier.
